Writer, graphic artist, rabid media critic, all-around fun guy, but for as long as civilization exists he will be best remembered as the guy who drove Charlie Sheen to the FBI. From the very first publication of his serialized Hideshi Hino’s Shocking Theater in 1971, he carved out a unique niche with his mixture of almost adorably ugly character designs, surreal plots, and a level of ultraviolence and grotesqueries that would make even the most seasoned horror fans flinch. Predictably, when he got the chance to write and direct Guinea Pig, the results were nothing short of stomach-churning. Hideshi Hino (日野日出志 Hino Hideshi, born April 19, 1946) is a Japanese manga artist who specializes in horror stories. His comics include Hell Baby, Hino Horrors, and Panorama of Hell.
